What is an Electrophysiology RN?

Do you have a passion for using your nursing skills to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders in patients? As a Travel Electrophysiology RN, you will have the opportunity to bring your expertise to a variety of healthcare facilities, making a positive impact on people’s lives through the use of advanced EP procedures. This role requires a nurse who is detail-focused, has exceptional patient interaction skills, and is able to quickly adapt to new and changing situations.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the EP lab, an active RN license in good standing, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and others as required by the facility. Additionally, experience with various EP procedures and proficiency in EP mapping and navigation systems is highly desired.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Assisting physicians in performing a range of EP procedures, including diagnostic studies, ablations, and implantation of devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators
Monitoring patients during procedures, administering medications, and ensuring their safety and comfort
Documenting patient information and updating medical records
Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide efficient and effective patient care
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in EP technology
Maintaining and organizing the EP lab and equipment

Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placement
