What is an Electrophysiology RCES?

Do you have a passion for utilizing your technical skills to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders in patients? As a Travel Electrophysiology Technologist, you will have the chance to bring your expertise to a diverse range of healthcare facilities, making a positive impact on people’s lives through the use of advanced EP procedures. This role is ideal for a technologist who is detail-focused, has exceptional patient interaction skills, and is able to quickly adapt to new and changing situations.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the EP lab and hold certifications such as RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) or IBHRE CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) and others as required by the facility. Additionally, experience with various EP procedures and proficiency in EP mapping and navigation systems is highly desired.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Assisting physicians in performing a range of EP procedures, including diagnostic studies, ablations, and implantation of devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators
Monitoring patients during procedures and ensuring their safety and comfort
Maintaining and operating EP equipment, ensuring all instruments are functioning properly
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in EP technology
Documenting patient information and updating medical records
Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide efficient and effective patient care
