What is a MRI Tech?

Are you a skilled MRI Technologist seeking new opportunities to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services? As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will have the chance to work in various healthcare facilities, operating MRI scanners to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures. This role requires a technologist who is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and able to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, hold an active MRI certification, and possess a valid state license or registration. Additional certifications and experience in various MRI techniques are highly desired.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and positioning patients for MRI scans, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Operating MRI scanners and using appropriate imaging protocols
  • Monitoring patients’ vital signs and responding to any adverse reactions during the procedure
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret MRI images
  • Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining medical records
  • Ensuring proper functioning and safety of MRI equipment
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Providing education and support to patients regarding the MRI procedure.

Common MRI Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Performing diagnostic MRI scans on various body parts
  • Utilizing contrast agents when necessary for enhanced imaging
  • Conducting MRI-guided procedures and interventions
  • Monitoring patients with claustrophobia or other anxieties during scans
  • Following proper imaging protocols to achieve high-quality images.
