Quite a lot of Red on the board…
March continued most of the trends in February, but did give some hope that the summer and spring pickup is underway. While we see some red that signifies decreases in rates, we also see the traditional geographic trends start to emerge. RN orders were absolutely dismal last month, but we do see a little volume pickup on the Cath Lab side though rates for all three modalities declined slightly. On the Technologist side, volumes increased again and Electrophysiology rates showed a nice bump. January through March is the typical slowdown, so the increase in Tech orders portends well for the summer.
