West Coast still in the lead…
There’s still quite a bit of red on the map, as orders in Texas and Florida continue to test the lower bounds of what travelers will accept. HCA, AYA and Healthtrust have posted some very low paying positions in these regions, relative to months past and 2023. That said, there are some big green dots on the map as well, reflecting the very attractive positions that have been posted in California and Washington. In fact, the northern states of Washington, Montana and the Dakotas have some of the highest paying positions in the nation. Usually we see this trend happen a little later in the year when the cooler weather requires higher paying assignments to attract quality candidates, but those assignments have arrived early this year. Technologists continue to outpace Nursing in both volume and rates.
